Bringing Cinematic Atmosphere to ELMO’s Second Frijam

On Friday, May 1st, 2026, the English Letters Music Organization, also known as ELMO, finally held its second Frijam at Santai Kawan Kopi. The jamming session shows the talents of ELMO’s four bands, featuring the theme of “Movie Soundtrack” that filled the cafe with vibrant songs and vibes.
 
As part of ELMO's annual programs that are held three times a year, Frijam or Friday Jamming is a music jamming event which, according to its title, will always be held on Friday. It aimed to develop the members’ confidence and their talent in music. The second Frijam this year started at 6 PM to 9 PM, showcasing ELMO’s four bands: RnV, HoW, NorthWind, and Petals.
 
Griselda and Dayu led this Frijam as the master of ceremonies, which then continued to the jamming session performed by the bands. Each band performed songs that were inspired by many iconic movie soundtracks. From the soundtrack of the movie “Twilight” to the soundtrack of “Mamma Mia”.

 
This event not only highlighted the musical skills of each band but also their courage to do a live performance in front of many audiences. The concept of jamming itself gives them a chance to express their creativity freely. With different styles of interpretations, each band brought its own unique style to the stage.
 
Overall, the event was a success. The session ended with a jamming performance from ELMO batch 24 and 23, where all the other performers and the audience joined to enliven the atmosphere. Inviting batch 23 to perform at Frijam was not planned, and it was a last-minute decision. Despite that situation, their performance was incredible, and it'll strengthen the bond within the English Letters Music Organization. (Chi)
