LCYA Book Sharing #1 2026

A book is not just a literary work, it is a tool for digging deeper into our knowledge especially in the field of literature. On Saturday, March 14, 2026, the LCYA committee held their very first book sharing event for its new generation committee, on the theme of “Myth”, from 10 am to 11 pm in room S. 303.

The event was organized as one of LCYA’s main projects and is aimed at sharing books that are related to the specific theme. Each of the members and guests who are attending the event need to share their chosen books in front of the audience who are also participants one-by-one, the interesting and creative one will get a door prize from the committee who organized the event. Therefore, from this book sharing us hope the audience not only gets to share their books but also gains even more knowledge about it.

The book sharing event was organized by the core committee of LCYA’s new generation committee for 2026. The chosen theme was “Myth” because it is a broad theme everyone is already familiar with, they were allowed to choose myth stories from anywhere. Wenda, one of the participants who came to the event shared a story about a myth from China called Qilin (麒麟). Not only from China, there are a lot of Myth stories that have been spilled in LCYA Book Sharing event; such as Greek, and Indonesian mythology. It was fascinating to hear, and by that the event serves so much potential to encourage young people interested in reading.

To conclude this memorable event, all participants and the committee who arranged the event took a picture together as the documentation and also received a meal which was provided by LCYA’s club.
In addition to that, LCYA club successfully finished their very first event in 2026 and will continue too many more events in the future. From what we have can bring benefit to others in the shape of knowledge. We may not only listen but gain more knowledge into our pockets. (Aleicia)
