ELEVEN 2026: Building Unity and Talent Through the Spirit of “Zootopia”
The English Letters Department successfully held its annual event. ELEVEN (English Letters’ Event and Competitions) 2026, on May 8-9 and May 15-16, 2026. The event became a place where students could develop their talents, strengthen friendship, and create memorable experiences together.
This year, ELEVEN carried the theme “Zootopia.” The theme symbolized diversity and unity among students with different personalities, skills, and backgrounds. Just like the world of Zootopia, the English Letters Department aims to create an environment where everyone can grow, support one another, and work together. The spirit of the event was also reflected in its tagline, “Run Fast, Think Smart, and Play Together.”
The event officially began on Friday, May 8, 2026, with an opening ceremony. ELEVEN was designed similarly to a class meeting competition, involving students from 2023, 2024, and 2025 batches. Interestingly, several lecturers also joined the activities, creating a closer relationship between students and teachers while encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork.
ELEVEN 2026 featured many competitions that tested both physical abilities and creativity. The sports and traditional games included futsal, badminton, gobak sodor, sarong volleyball, and water relay race. Meanwhile, students could also participate in academic and creative competition such as short story writing, song cover, and City Cases, a competition focused on logic and problem-solving skills. In addition, the event also included a Mobile Legends tournament, which attracted many participants and audiences.
The celebration ended with an Awarding Night on Saturday, May 16, 2026. More than just announcing the winners, the closing became a night of entertainment and appreciation. The audience enjoyed special performances from lecturers, ELMO, and LITRO, while a fashion show added excitement by bringing the “Zootopia” theme to life through creative costumes and styles.
Overall, ELEVEN 2026 successfully created a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for the English Letters Department. By combining competition, creativity, and collaboration, the event showed that unity and diversity can grow together in one supportive environment. (SDS)
