Potluck Party 2025: “Our Adventure Begins Now” for English Letters Freshmen

The English Letters Department officially welcomed its freshmen through the Potluck Party 2025, held on August 20, 2025. Carrying the big theme “Our Adventure Begins Now” with a playful Mario Bros visual concept, the event blended both formal and fun activities to ensure an engaging experience for the new students. The morning began with a formal session at Koendjono Room, featuring introductions to the lecturers, a talk show, and faculty awards that recognized students with academic achievements within the department.

The excitement continued with a full-day bonding session at the Faculty of Letters Building. Freshmen were given the chance to explore the department’s diverse student communities at the expo, join interactive games, and participate in a fashion show project alongside various performances. Highlights of the day included a special performance by the lecturers, a short play from the English Letters Play Performance, and a music showcase from the ELMO, which brought the crowd to life.


By combining academic introductions with fun bonding activities, the committee successfully created a welcoming atmosphere. The event not only introduced the freshmen to their lecturers and communities but also encouraged them to connect. True to its theme, Potluck Party 2025 marked the beginning of a new adventure for the English Letters freshmen. (ELS)
