POTLUCK PARTY 2017! Youniqueness: Embrace Your Quirkyness!
The first day of Potluck Party held on 26 August 2017 started with the jargons from each group and from Potluck Party 2017 and an opening speech from Mr. Hirmawan Wijanarka, M.Hum., Head of Sastra Inggris, then an announcement and giving award for the highest GPA from each class. This first day of Potluck Party aimed to be an informative session and introduced many kinds of UKPS in Sastra Inggris that the freshmen could express themselves through the activities in this Department.
After introducing UKPS and the last session for day was a seminar presenting Ms. Scolastica Wedhowerti, a lecturer, and Ursula Q.N. Bone, a senior, as the speakers. The topic of the seminar was about “Life After Graduation”. Such topic really intrigued the freshmen to reorient themselves about what they would get in this Department. They become more confidsent, bolder, to face their days in Sastra Inggris.

On the second day, the event of Potluck Party went crazy since there was a welcoming party. A real full-fledged night party! It started with a speech from the Committee Chair, Indah Permata Asia. In the second day, there were many performances from the groups and the guest stars. Each group performed their result of their togetherness for almost two weeks. Not only the freshmen, but also the seniors and lecturers also came to Potluck Party 2017.
The freshmen seemed to enjoy their night, entertained by an awesome guest star. Seniors and freshmen mingled and carried away by the music. The three group bands, The Sawi, OM Tombo Gelo, and Desperados, really fired and enlivened the night. There were no more boundaries between seniors and freshmen, united as they were, showing their uniqueness and quirkiness without hesitation. It was such a lovely (and wild) night to remember!
