Dita Journal: Lectures and Field Trip
6 August 2013: We were prepared to have a lecture on Quality of Life by Professor Wonsun Kim. For about one hour, Professor Kim told us about The Life in the Standpoint of Developmental Biology. After the lecture, the audience were divided into four groups, each group had a representative from the participating countries. We discussed the topic “quality of life”, deliberating it from each other’s perspective. It became a great conversation because each participant represented his/her own culture and norms. I came to know about the problems faced by other countries. It was a fruitful discussion.
7 August 2013: Another lecture had waited for us. This time the lecture on Global Warming was delivered by Professor Kyungbyung Yoon. As usual, after the lecture we were divided into four groups and discussed the topic seen from each other’s perspectives. It lasted for almost two hours.

Field trip
Today the field trip to the National Science Museum was now on its course after a total failure yesterday. The museum was great and awesome. We can learn how South Koreans progress and excel into a developed country. Samsung, Hyunday, LG are examples of South Korean products which are now on top of the world’s prestigious brands.
After the field trip, we treated ourselves with fancy dessert in Donghae. We bought a big waffle and one big ice cream (it’s Korean, I didn’t know its name). I really enjoyed joining the Global Leadership Program. Not only did we widen our horizon in knowledge, but we also had many fun and memorable experiences with friends of different cultures.
I get so many valuable experiences which, I am sure, will equip me for my future.(dita)
