MPBI Students, Gabriela and Friends Publish Research Article in Journal of English Educational Study (JEES)

Yogyakarta, 2026 — A student of the Master’s Program in English Language Education (MPBI), Gabriela Apriani Koli  has achieved an academic milestone by successfully publishing a research article in Journal of English Educational Study (JEES), a Sinta 3 acredited journal.

The article, entitled “ A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF BLOOM’S TAXONOMY IN LEARNING OUTCOMES OF 10TH-GRADE MERDEKA CURRICULUM MODULES IN YOGYAKARTA AND WEST KALIMANTAN”, explores Merdeka Curriculum implementation by comparing the cognitive orientation of Grade 10 English learning outcomes in Yogyakarta and Sintang, West Kalimantan. The study reveals differences in the proportion of LOTS and HOTS between the two regions, highlighting how regional contexts and available resources may shape teachers’ curriculum implementation.

The publication reflects Gabriela’s commitment to developing research skills and contributing to academic scholarship during her studies in the MPBI program. The research process involved a series of stages, from developing the research idea and conducting the study to writing, revising, and responding to the journal’s review process.

Gabriela expressed her appreciation for the support and guidance received throughout the research and publication process. "Grateful to finally see this work published. A small achievement, but a meaningful one for me," she said.

The publication also highlights the MPBI program’s commitment to fostering a strong academic and research culture among its students. Through research and scholarly publication, MPBI students are encouraged to contribute their perspectives and findings to the wider academic community.

This achievement is expected to inspire other MPBI students to continue developing their research interests and sharing their scholarly work through academic publications.
