GRADUATION FAREWELL CEREMONY OF THE FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY SANATA DHARMA UNIVERSITY

On Friday, September 19, 2025, from 17.30 to 22.10 WIB, the Graduation Farewell Ceremony of the Faculty of Psychology, Sanata Dharma University, was convened at the Drost Hall, 4th Floor, Campus III, Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. The event was attended by 123 graduates of the Faculty of Psychology who had successfully completed their studies and were officially released by the Faculty. Also in attendance were the academic staff, administrative personnel, and the parents of the graduates.

The ceremony commenced at 17.30 WIB with a welcoming session and reading of the event rundown by the Master of Ceremonies, followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya and the Driyarkara Hymn, led by Rebecca Reynata Rihi. The opening prayer was then delivered by Metilda Luminggau. Subsequently, the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Yohannes Babtista Cahya Widiyanto, M.Si., delivered his welcoming speech. In his remarks, the Dean expressed profound appreciation and pride for the accomplishments of all graduates. He emphasized the importance of upholding the spirit of service and humanity in their professional lives as psychology graduates and encouraged them to continuously cultivate integrity, empathy, and lifelong learning in every aspect of their journey.

Following the Dean’s welcoming speech, a slideshow presentation featuring the graduates was shown, followed by the presentation of commemorative statues by each thesis supervisor. The representative of the graduates, Mikhael Maheswara, then delivered a speech of gratitude and reflection, which was followed by the symbolic handover of reflection books to Dr. Victorius Didik Suryo Hartoko, I Nyoman Sumerta, S.Pd., and Ir. Ni Made Wirathi. Words of gratitude were also conveyed by representatives of the parents, I Nyoman Sumerta, S.Pd. and Ir. Ni Made Wirathi, who expressed their sincere appreciation to all lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Psychology, Sanata Dharma University, for their dedication and guidance throughout their children’s academic journey.

As a form of recognition, the Faculty of Psychology presented awards to ten graduates who achieved the highest thesis defense scores. The awards were presented by Dr. Maria Magdalena Nimas Eki Suprawati, M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist. The program then continued with a door prize session and the presentation of Best Costume awards to two graduates, two accompanying guests, and two lecturers. Towards the conclusion of the event, all attendees joined in singing the Sanata Dharma Hymn. The closing and dinner prayers were led by Adrianus Marco Kristanto, followed by group photo sessions with the lecturers

and graduates, as well as dinner and a friendly gathering in the South Hall area, accompanied by live musical performances from Musichology.

The event concluded in an orderly manner at 22.10 WIB. Through this ceremony, the Faculty of Psychology, Sanata Dharma University, officially released 123 graduates to embark on their professional careers and contribute to society, carrying forth the spirit of “Love and Humanity”, in accordance with the core values upheld by Sanata Dharma University.
