MPBI Community Service Program: “English for Future Healthcare”

On 20 November 2025, MPBI students from Sanata Dharma University launched the book “English for Future Healthcare: A Practical Guide for Nursing Students” at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Panti Rapih (STIKES Panti Rapih), Yogyakarta. They developed the book as part of a community service activity in the course “Material and Program Design,” and they introduced it directly to the students who will use it in their learning.

Chiang Rai, October 28, 2025 — Five students from the Master’s Program of English Language Education (MPBI) of Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, have successfully completed their International Teaching Practicum (ITP) held in collaboration with Xavier Learning Community (XLC) and Saengtham College, Xavier Campus, in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

The discussion drew strong interest from participants, especially as she unpacked how IB’s holistic and inquiry-based approach fosters critical thinking, creativity, and global-mindedness among learners.

MPBI Student Initiation: Strengthening Global Outlook in English Education, MPBI Welcomes 28 New Students

Yogyakarta, August 25, 2025 — The Master’s Program of English Language Education (MPBI) of Sanata Dharma University welcomed the new students of the 2025 Batch. MPBI proudly admitted 28 students from across Indonesia, including one international student from Thailand, marking a significant milestone in strengthening MPBI’s academic community and global outlook.

Soft Launch of GSMM-Society: A Grassroots Effort to Sustain an Academic Atmosphere

On June 1, 2025, coinciding with Indonesia’s commemoration of Pancasila Day, a soft launch was held for an initiative called GSMM-Society, which stands for Greget, Sigep, Madhep, Mantep Society. The event was attended by Carla Sih Prabandari and Maria Eka Mulatsih, both representing the management of the English Language Education Program (PBI). Also present were senior lecturer Veronica Triprihatmini and Agustinus Hardi Prasetyo, Head of Graduate English Studies at Sanata Dharma University. Two external guests, Antonius Setyawan and Nia Susanti—both PBI alumni—also joined the launch.
